Police in Tampere find a missing girl's body in a local pond. Foul play is ruled out.

Police have ruled out foul play in the death of a 15-year-old girl who disappeared last summer and was later found in a pond on the outskirts of Tampere. Officials concluded their investigation on Wednesday.

Karoliina Kesti went missing on July 31 and her body was recovered from the Likolampi pond in early September.

The Tampere girl’s disappearance was covered extensively in the Finnish media. The search to find her was called off after three weeks at the end of August.YLE
